Helping under-resourced kids using the power of sports.
Why we started
Camp Spark is dedicated to providing under-resourced children with the opportunity to participate in sports, fostering both physical and personal growth. Our goal is to spark a passion similar to ours so that our community's youth can maximize its development, joy, and success.
We're accomplishing this by holding monthly events and providing free sports programs — making sure children from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to the benefits of team sports, including improved health, teamwork and confidence.

Three things every camp has.
Always
Free
No fees, no equipment to buy, no sign-up cost. If a child can get to the park, they can play.
Always
Supportive and inclusive
Camps are built so kids can develop their abilities, build lasting friendships, and learn important life skills.
Always
Led by young leaders
Our camps are run by student volunteers who are mentored into leading their own chapters.
The people running the field.

CO-PRESIDENT
Austin Kang
Hello, my name is Austin Kang. I am a current senior at St. Margaret's Episcopal School. As I have had a deep passion for sports for as long as I can remember, I am very involved with the sports community. I personally am a captain on my high school's varsity basketball team, and I am a dedicated fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Giants as well as the UCLA Bruins. Because of my love for sports, I want to SPARK more interest by reaching the under-resourced communities. By holding camps on the international stage, I believe that we can increase passion, foster more activity, and create lifelong relationships. This is a project that is dear to my heart because I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to discover what they love. Sports are beautiful, and I want to share that passion with as many campers as possible.

Justin Lee
Hello, my name is Justin Lee, and I’m currently a senior at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. Throughout my life, I've always been passionate about connecting with others through sports. I've enjoyed playing basketball, football, golf, and skiing, and I’m also an avid fan of the Los Angeles Chargers and Clippers. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve developed a strong passion for helping younger individuals discover their own love for sports. This is what inspired me to start Camp Spark—a program designed to provide under-resourced communities with the opportunity to thrive through the power of sports. My goal for Camp Spark is to ignite joy and hope in these communities while fostering meaningful relationships with people from different backgrounds than my own.
